The 36th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series will take place on ten Sunday evenings, June 9 -July 28, 2019 in the Scioto Park amphitheater, 7377 Riverside Dr. in Dublin. Concerts showcase local and regional performing artists that include almost every musical taste, from Latin jazz to big band swing and traditional Celtic music to country rock. Concerts begin at 7pm and conclude at approximately 8:30pm each week. Concerts are free.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the amphitheater. Dinner and dessert will be offered for sale each week by food trucks and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt. A portion of sales benefit the free concert series.

Sharon Dorsey: Ya Got Somethin' To Say? Exhibition

Central Ohio artist Sharon Dorsey combines words with painting and sculpture in the exhibition, Ya Got Somethin’ To Say, uplifting and forewarning the viewer through artwork featuring curious anecdotes and cautionary tales. The solo exhibition will be on view at Dublin Arts Council from June 18 through July 26. 

Dorsey works in drawing, painting and mixed media. Her artwork, The Forest Witch and the Witless Fellow, Finnian can be discovered in Dublin Arts Council’s RiverboxesTMgeocaching-inspired public art collection. She has also received commissions from the Columbus Museum of Art and City of Columbus (Ohio) Recreation & Parks Department. Dorsey has a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Clothing from The Ohio State University.

Opening Reception

The exhibition opens with a public reception for the artist on Tuesday, June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. The reception, catered by The Food Smiths, Dublin Arts Council’s Dublin-based Visual Arts Series catering partner, and the exhibition is free of charge.

World's Largest Swim Lesson

The world's top water safety and training organizations join forces to present The World's Largest Swim Lession (WLSL) to build awareness about the vital importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning.

The very basic 30 minute lesson will take place at the Wild Tides Wave Pool and will be conducted by instructors from the local community that have a current swim instructor ceritification. Only WLSL participants will have access to the wave pool during the event.

To participate in the WLSL, you must be between the ages of 2 to 12 years of age, pre-registration is recommended but not required. Any participate under the age of 10 must have a parent or guardian present to participate. If you would like to register that day, stop by the Zoombezi Bay Season Pass Gate.

Registration is FREE for Season Pass Holders. There is a $10 cost for participants which includes admission to the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay for the day and the lesson.

Ohio–Champion of Sports features more than 70 stories and 35 oral histories covering more than 25 sports ranging from baseball, football and basketball to roller derby, skateboarding and e-gaming. The exhibit showcases the Ohio athletes, coaches, owners and fans at the center of the action and explores sports through the themes of character, adversity, innovation, identity, tradition, victory–values that relate to the human condition–to connect a broad audience to Ohio’s national sports history. Test your basketball skills at the Wall of Hoops, record a “victory dance”, run an obstacle course and record your “One Minute Legends” sports story!

Imagination Unlimited - The Jim Henson Exhibition

Jim Henson: Imagination Unlimited explores Jim Henson’s groundbreaking work for film and television and his transformative impact on popular culture. This comprehensive exhibition reveals how Henson and his team of builders, performers, and writers brought to life the enduringly popular worlds of The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and much more.

The exhibition features a broad range of artifacts related to Henson’s unparalleled career, including more than 20 puppets, character sketches, storyboards, scripts, photographs, film and television clips, behind-the-scenes footage, iconic costumes, and interactive experiences that allow visitors to try their hand at puppeteering on camera and designing a puppet.

Annual Kiwanis Frog Jump & Festival

This annual array of amphibious athleticism draws thousands of "frog jockeys" to participate in several age divisions, as thousands of spectators cheer on their favorite frog. Competition includes multiple playoff rounds, followed by a championship. Loads of prizes add to the fun as well as inflatables, food vendors and just being outside with the family!

This year, frog races will begin at 10 a.m.

More than 5,000 participants and spectators are expected to attend this year's races, so come on out to Coffman Park and join in on the fun at Dublin's longest running event! All proceeds will benefit local charities, including the Dublin Area Food Pantry, Kid Smiles and the Thornton-McBride Scholarship Fund.

The cars bring everyone together originally, but it is the friendships and shared experiences that bring everyone back year after year.
