Dublin Arts Council Community Time Capsule
“What will you remember most about the pandemic?”
The year 2020 was an extraordinary time. Historians will document the COVID-19 global pandemic, but the individual experiences provide a deeply personal account of what it is like to shelter-in-place, wear masks, attend school remotely and practice physical-distancing.
Dublin Arts Council has invited Dublin City School students, Dublin leaders and community members to participate in the creation of a 2020 Community Time Capsule. The capsule will document life during this time with personal accounts, artwork and messages of hope.
The time capsule will be buried Friday, May 7, 2021 at noon on Dublin Arts Council’s grounds, to be unearthed in 2033 in celebration of the organization’s 50th anniversary.
The ceremony, which includes a harp performance by Lily Bloom and a poetry reading by Ohio's first poet laureate, Dr. Amit Majmudar, will be streamed on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DublinArtsCouncil
