Dear Families of Harold Lewis Center,

Yesterday, March 12, 2020, Governor Mike Dewine announced that all schools in Ohio will be closed for three weeks as of Monday. Your child’s safety, the safety of your family and or our staff is a top priority. Therefore, Harold Lewis Center will be closed for three weeks effective Monday, March 16 to help prevent the spread of COVID 19. Harold Lewis Center will reopen on Monday April 6, 2020.   Fortunately, Harold Lewis Center will be closed for two weeks of spring break during this time.

Your child’s teacher and therapist(s) (if applicable) will be creating packets for you and your child to work on next week. Packets will be sent home with students on Friday March 13, 2020. If your child is absent on Friday, you can pick up your child’s packet on Monday from 8-5 at HLC. Because we are using these packets, we do not anticipate adding any days to the end of the school year.

If you have an IEP meeting scheduled during the week of March 16, someone will be calling you about this meeting.

If you have any questions about our plan moving forward, please contact me at 937-309-1343 or kbrown@ucbdd.org. If you have questions about your students learning please contact your child’s teacher through email or phone.

Thank you for your patience as we try to manage this very quickly developing situation.

Sincerely
Kara L. Brown
