Dear Harold Lewis Center Families,
It has been great to see your children back in our building as we start off the 2021-2022 school year.  The safety of your child is incredibly important to us as we continue to navigate our ever-changing environment as it relates to COVID-19.
Several of you have asked about masking at Harold Lewis Center.  This evening, Monday August 16, 2021, our board approved a masking policy for the Harold Lewis Center. Effective immediately, all staff and visitors in the Harold Lewis Center building (regardless of vaccination status), will be required to wear masks inside the building when children are present. Masks will not be required outside unless working with a child one-on-one. There are some exceptions such as when working in an office away from children or those that have an exemption from wearing masks according to Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
The CDC recommends that all children over the age of 2 wear face masks.  The Harold Lewis Center is not requiring masks for our students, but we encourage your child to wear a mask to school as we know that wearing masks reduces the spread of COVID-19.
If you have any questions, please contact the Harold Lewis Center at 937-645-6714.
